Roughnecks at Mammoth playoff videos
After much debate back and forth, I’ve decided to put up a couple videos from the West Division Semi Final game where the Calgary Roughnecks lost to the Colorado Mammoth.
The first video had some controversy surrounding it but in the end the officials made the right call — even though it hurt the Roughnecks. During the game and shortly after there was a lot of talk saying that this particular goal shouldn’t have counted or that it wasn’t even a goal. As you’ll see, the ball does cross the goal plane and as I mentioned before, the officials did rule it a goal.
The problem, according to some, is that the official waited 20 seconds before doing anything about it. After the goal was scored, the goal judge turned on the goal light but the official either didn’t see it or the judge didn’t have the light on for long — some say the light didn’t go on at all while others swear that it did. Play continued until another stoppage was called and that’s when the official talked to the goal judge, and called the play a goal.
On to more heated events, overtime. At this point there is about a minute or so left in the game. Calgary is behind by one. As we all know, Kevin Dostie scored the goal to tie up the game at 17. While this video does include that amazing goal by Dostie it also goes on to show the unfortunate goal by Brian Langtry in overtime.

Dammit, something is going on with YouTube and there are some issues with the second video. I’ll look into it and update this post when I know more.
